The Observatory on Supercomputing Trends and Applications is a project dI ICSC implemented and managed by IFAB (International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development), the focus of the Observatory is on SMEs, Public Administrations and Communities. The Observatory will integrate the studies and research conducted by ICSC with other possible innovations, trends, and applications to provide stakeholders and policymakers with perspectives on the fields of HPC, Big Data analytics, and quantum computing and the activities they are able to enable.

The Observatory’s activities consist of mapping the most advanced technological innovations, developing future scenarios for the development of research and innovation ecosystems, and creating meeting opportunities for members of these ecosystems. Therefore, the Observatory’s purpose also consisted in creating a community of sharing and extending technological knowledge through the realization of events, collaborations, and creation of opportunities for contact.
