Registration for attendance at Re-Train-Me, a postgraduate training course in biomedical computing promoted by ICSC – Italian Research Center on High Performance Computing, Big Data and Quantum Computing and delivered in collaboration with nine research institutions that are members of the National Center, is open from today, Monday, May 27, until 4 p.m. Friday, July 12. The objective of Re-Train-Me is to enhance and increase skills in areas at the intersection across medicine, biology and computer science, central to the research activities carried out by the institutions involved, and to train new professionals. The course, which is aimed at graduates in scientific disciplines, will run from Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, to Friday, May 9, 2025, and will consist of an initial didactic phase, in which 36 students will have access to the scheduled online courses and exercises, and a second laboratory phase open to 18 participants.

Selections will be made after evaluation of the Curriculum Vitae and motivation letters attached to the applications submitted by candidates and an interview. Admission to the second phase will be made on the basis of the evaluation of the following criteria: attendance during the first phase (minimum 90%); quality of the papers produced; and report related to the abilities demonstrated by the students in the areas in which the member institutions operate.

For the academic year 2024-25, RE-TRAIN-ME will be supported by a technical and scientific committee composed of one representative from each participating organization.
