Supercomputing and Innovation
On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, the second event of the Observatory on Supercomputing Trends and Applications will be held in Naples. The event will be titled “Supercomputing and Innovation. Perspectives on Supercomputing and Opportunities for Business,” and will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Apple Developer Academy in Corso Nicolangelo Protopisani, 70, Naples. The project, promoted by the Italia Research Center on HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing and implemented by IFAB, aims to open up the world of technological innovation not only to research institutions and the business elite but also to SMEs, startups, governments and communities of interest. The aim of the conference is to take stock of the latest trends in supercomputing from a scientific perspective and the opportunities it offers to businesses. Through the involvement of another National Center and two Extended Partnerships, the conference also aims to be a time for shared reflection on the challenges that national and European funding through the NRP poses to the research and innovation communities. A central moment of the conference will be the presentation of ICSC’s cascading calls aimed at Italian companies. The event is free and open access, subject to registration. It will also be possible to follow the event via streaming, after registering in the same form.
