The main objectives of the ICSC’s Spoke 3  are the exploitation of cutting-edge solutions in HPC and Big Data processing and analysis for problems of interest in the following research area: Cosmology; Stars and Galaxies; Space physics (Earth, Solar and Planetary); Radio Astronomy; Observational Astrophysics and Time Domain; High Energy Astrophysics, Cosmic Microwave Background; Large Scale Structure, Clusters and Galaxies; Multi-messenger Astrophysics; Numerical Simulations and Modeling.

6- Advanced data analysis methodologies.

Who it is addressed to:

The following are eligible to apply for the facilities under this Notice:

  • Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), outside the NC and competing as a single entity, having the size parameters set out in Annex I of Commission REG (EC) No. 800/2008 of August 6, 2008 (General Block Exemption Regulation) in OJEU L 214, 9.8.2008.
  • Large Enterprises (GIs), outside the CN.
  • the Italian State Universities, outside the CN.
  • the Italian non-State Universities legally recognized and accredited MUR, external to the CN.
  • Research Organizations (RFOs) within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 651/2014, item 83, external to the CN.
  • Public and private consortia established among the above beneficiaries. Consortia may also be established, through ATI/ATS, or other form recognized by the Italian State, following the awarding of projects.

Profile sought: Each entity may submit more than one application for funding. Project proposals must be consistent with the thematic areas specified in Annex 2 – Thematic Areas for Project Submission.

Reporting Period: The project may have a maximum duration not exceeding the duration of the ICSC project having a deadline of 08/31/2025, subject to possible extensions.
