From June 17 to 21, the second edition of the Summer School in High Performance Computing and Emerging Technologies will be held in Trento. The course addresses a broad audience, including PhD students, young researchers, professional engineers operating in the industry, and outstanding undergraduate students. The School, organized by the Department of Engineering and Information Science of the University of Trento, in collaboration with the National Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics (CINI) and CINECA, sees this year the contribution of ICSC – Italian Research Center on HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing, sponsor of the initiative. To participate, registration will be open until April 15, 2024.

The Summer School offers an intensive program on the entire hardware and software stack. This co-design is essential for designing High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions and accelerating data-centric workloads.

This edition will focus on #RISCV architecture and the latest HPC interconnect technologies. The curriculum aims to enhance participants’ skills in using HPC for complex, data-intensive scientific tasks, covering everything from the basics of computer architecture and high-performance processor design to parallel computing.
